Mon-Thu Arena Waiver

WEEKLY UPDATE

We are now past the midway point of the regular season, and the standings are starting to take shape.  Each game is important as it will help determine final seedings and the playoff format.  In the A, Firewagon continue to be undefeated even though Stealth took them to a shootout.  In the B, teams continue to jockey for positioning with three teams with only one loss in regulation as we have seen many close games and overtime shootouts.

Captains are reminded to ensure all players are properly checked in on game nights. Taking care of roster issues before the playoffs will help avoid any unnecessary complications down the road.

REMINDER

- All players must complete the waiver at the top of the league page before stepping on the floor

- All players must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet, hockey gloves and all team players must have the same colour shirt (goalies excluded)

- All players require 4 games played to qualify for the playoffs and we go by the website

THURSDAY JUNE 11

Lumberjacks vs. Garbagemen

Neither side could break the tie in the second half despite several penalty opportunities, sending the game to a shootout. The first three rounds solved nothing as both teams were turned away on every attempt. In the sudden-death portion, GBM was denied before Jonathan Lachance stepped up for LBJ and buried the deciding shot past Usaamah Gill, securing a 2-1 shootout victory for LBJ.

GSH refused to go away quietly, however, as captain Mike McNally got his team on the board on the power play with assists from Mike Ciolfi and Evan Gould.
