NO GAMES SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH DUE TO THANKSGIVING. Games resume Sunday, October 18th.

WEEKLY UPDATE

Our Kids Sunday Hintonburg 2026 season continued with another great week of ball hockey! We hope everyone enjoyed Week #2 and, most importantly, had fun. It was great to see players getting more comfortable with their teammates and building on their first week. Our goal is to create a positive and comfortable environment where every player can have fun, build confidence, and improve from week to week.

A big thank you to the parents who volunteered behind the benches this week. Your help is greatly appreciated throughout the season. Volunteers help ensure players rotate properly and receive equal playing time.

We want to encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude, both on the bench and on the floor. Games can sometimes be challenging, and supporting teammates through those moments helps everyone build confidence and enjoy their experience.

Please ensure your child brings BOTH a black and a white shirt to every session. This week, we were unable to make the team adjustments needed because several players did not have their other shirt. Having both colours available allows us to balance the teams and keep games enjoyable for everyone.

We wish all our players and families a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend! Enjoy the extra family time, and we’ll see everyone back on the floor on Sunday, October 18th.

TOP 5 game day reminders to make you an MVP:

1. ARRIVE EARLY: Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in, get ready, and warm up.

2. BLACK & WHITE SHIRTS: Bring both every week. Team changes may be needed to balance the game.

3. NAME ON HELMET & WHITE TAPE ON BLADES: Have your child’s first name and last initial clearly displayed on the front of their helmet, and their stick blade fully covered with white hockey tape. Tape, markers, and scissors are available by the gym entrance.

4. WATER = your best teammate! Bring a water bottle and stay hydrated!

5. CAN’T MAKE IT? CONTACT US: Please let us know in advance so we can adjust the teams.
