NO GAMES SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH DUE TO THANKSGIVING. Games resume Sunday, October 18th.

WEEKLY UPDATE

What a great second week for our Kids Sunday Orléans players! We’re only two weeks into the season, but we’re already seeing plenty of positives as players get more comfortable, build confidence, and improve together. The kids also enjoyed having a little more time on the floor this week!

Both games provided plenty of excitement. Game 1 went right down to the wire and needed a shootout to decide the winner, while Game 2 stayed close until the very end, with Team White pulling out the victory. Great effort all around!

Most importantly, we hope everyone had fun. Our goal is to create a positive and comfortable environment where every player can enjoy themselves, develop their skills, and feel part of the team.

A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered behind the benches this week. Your help is greatly appreciated and will be important throughout the season. Volunteers help ensure players rotate properly and receive equal playing time.

Just as importantly, we want to encourage teamwork and a positive attitude, both on the bench and on the floor. A little encouragement can go a long way in helping players feel confident and enjoy their experience.

We wish all our players and families a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend! Enjoy the extra family time, and we’ll see everyone back on the floor on Sunday, October 18th.

RECAP

9:30 - Black B vs White B

Team Black vs. Team White- Week 2 was full of big saves, great passes, and even bigger smiles! The kids are starting to feel more comfortable on the floor, and it’s great to see their confidence growing. The passing is getting better, the teamwork is picking up, and the sportsmanship has been awesome to watch! The goalies were the stars of the first half, stopping everything that came their way. After all that action, the game went into halftime with the score tied 0–0!Team Black picked up the pressure in the second half and carried the play, but Team White’s defence stood strong. When they needed a big save, Alexis Lafleche was there to make some huge stops and keep the game scoreless. When the final whistle blew, it was STILL 0–0! That meant only one thing… SHOOTOUT TIME! Both teams gave it everything they had, but Team Black managed to find the back of the net more often in the shootout to take the win. What a battle! Great effort by both teams, and keep up the passing, teamwork and sportsmanship!

RECAP

10:45 - Black A vs White A

Team Black vs. Team White

It was another fun and exciting game between Team Black and Team White! The first half was a close battle, with both teams working hard and showing off some great teamwork. Davis Spottswood opened the scoring for Team White, but Team Black answered a few minutes later with a goal from Mason Gendron.  The half would end 1-1 with Zach Surette and Alexis Lafleche locking it down and making big saves.  Team White came out strong in the second half and started to control the play, building up a two-goal lead. David Spottswood scored his 2nd of the game off a beauty feed from Mikael Campeau, followed by Benjamin Boulanger scoring on five-hole shot from the slot.  Black wasn’t ready to give up, though, and kept pushing to make things interesting Dylan Proulx made it a 3-2 game with lots of time on the clock. They would push right until the end! Team White gets another goal from Benjamin Belanger to make it 4-2 with 2:25 to play. Team White would hold on for the win, but the biggest victory was seeing how much the kids have improved. The passing was getting sharper, the positioning was much better, and everyone is starting to understand how to work together as a team! Keep up the great work, everyone — the improvement each week is awesome to see!
